On Feb 14, the first community engagement event took place at Güzelburç Antakya restaurant, with our esteemed guest Anna Maria Beylunioğlu-Atlı leading a session on Gastrodiplomacy. As participants enjoyed Antakya’s delicious dishes, they learned how food can be a tool for diplomacy. The event was interactive, with attendees sharing their own experiences and discussing the power of food to connect cultures. The event’s friendly and welcoming atmosphere allowed for open conversation, making it a memorable experience for all involved.
And of course, no Antakya experience is complete without Turkish coffee and fortune-telling! The event was a heartwarming success, leaving everyone with a deeper appreciation for how food brings people together.
