Training, seminars, and workshops related to the UN Sustainable Development Goals are offered in cooperation with UNITAR and CIFAL Istanbul.

Social Change Initiative

Fellows leave the 10-week on-site course with their own action plan to implement new learning and ideas from the course, and to apply new leadership skills and a systems mindset to their social change initiative intended to promote peace and development. Fellows will be assigned academic mentors, as well as mentors from Rotary in Türkiye for ongoing support during their fellowship. Possible areas of focus for a social change initiative could include: Human rights and governance; Poverty and economic development; Inter-religious initiatives; Gender, women and development; Public health; Refugees and social cohesion; Youth, conflict prevention and development; Resiliency building; Climate change; Natural resources and land governance; Media.

1-week Capstone Seminar

Fellows return to campus for a one-week on-site capstone seminar. This will be an opportunity to reconnect with the cohort, present the progress of their social change initiatives and plans for the future, and network with the incoming cohort of Rotary Peace Fellows. The capstone is a required component of the program to receive the postgraduate diploma in peace and development studies.
